Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar.
  • 200 grams butter.
  • 5 eggs.
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract.
  • 3 cups flour.
  • 1 packet baking powder.
  • A pinch of salt.
  • 1 cup milk or 1 cup lemon juice or 1 cup orange juice.

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, combine the sugar and butter and beat them together well.


2. Add the eggs one at a time, beating the mixture after each addition.


3. Then add the vanilla extract.


4. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour and baking powder.


5. Add a pinch of salt, then mix half of the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until the flour is fully incorporated.


6. Add the remaining dry ingredients and mix well, then add the cup of milk.


7. Grease a baking pan and pour three-quarters of the batter into it. Place the pan in a preheated oven for 15 minutes.


8. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 40 minutes.
