"Kunafa Rolls: A Modern Twist on the Timeless Delight"

Ingredients:

For the syrup:

  • 1 cup of sugar.
  • 1 cup of water.
  • 1 tablespoon of ghee.

    For the cream:
  • Half a kilogram of milk.
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar.
  • 3 tablespoons of cornstarch or custard powder.
  • 1 tablespoon of rose water.
  • Kunafa rolls.
  • Melted butter.

Instructions:

1- To make the syrup, combine the sugar, water, and ghee in a pot and stir well until the mixture thickens. Then, let it cool.


2- Next, prepare the cream by mixing the milk, sugar, and cornstarch in a pot while cold, and add the rose water. Then, cook it over low heat, stirring continuously.


3- Let the cream cool, then take the kunafa rolls and brush them with melted butter. Place a spoonful of cream inside each roll, then wrap them and arrange them in a baking tray. Brush the top with more butter.


4- Bake in the oven for twenty minutes, then pour the syrup over them and let them sit for half an hour. Enjoy!
