Hawawshi: Egypt's Flavor Explosion in Every Bite!
Ingredients:
- Small chopped onion.
- Green bell pepper.
- 1 teaspoon salt.
- Black pepper.
- Meat seasoning.
- Smoked paprika
- Garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Pinch of ginger
- Ground meat with a quarter amount of fat
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Ballade bread
- Cheese to taste
Instructions:
1. Chop the onion and bell pepper, then add salt, black pepper, meat seasoning, and paprika.
2. Add garlic powder, cinnamon, a pinch of nutmeg, and a pinch of ginger.
3. Mix them well and add the ground meat with a quarter amount of fat.
4. In a bowl, add oil and mix in half of the meat, then add the remaining meat and mix well.
5. Divide the mixture into equal portions and prepare the bread by cutting it from the sides.
6. Fill the bread with the meat mixture, distributing it evenly, and add cheese and vegetables on top.
7. Brush the bread with oil on all sides and place it on baking trays. Bake in the oven at 200°C for 10 minutes on each side.
8. Flip them in the oven for another five minutes, then remove and slice. Enjoy!
