"Delicious Kebabs with Potatoes: A Savory Tagine Delight"
Ingredients:
- Meat from the thigh.
- 1 tablespoon ghee.
- 1 tablespoon oil.
- Black pepper.
- Meat spices.
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
- A pinch of nutmeg.
- For every kilo of meat, one kilo of onions.
- 1 teaspoon sugar.
- Boiling water.
- A pinch of salt.
- 1/4 small cup pomegranate molasses.
- Potatoes.
- Olive oil.
- A pinch of salt.
- A pinch of black pepper
- Pomegranate molasses for garnish.
Instructions:
1. Cut the meat into cubes, then heat the ghee and oil in a pot and add the meat.
2. Once the meat changes color, add black pepper, meat spices, cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg. Stir until the spices are absorbed by the meat.
3. Chop the onions and add them to the meat along with the sugar. Stir until the onions soften, then add boiling water to cover the mixture and cook on medium heat.
4. When the water evaporates, add salt and a bit of pomegranate molasses. Stir well, cover, and let it simmer.
5. To prepare the potatoes, cut and wash them thoroughly, ensuring they are dry.
6. Add olive oil, a pinch of salt, and black pepper to the potatoes, and mix well.
7. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes until they turn golden.
8. In a casserole dish, place the potatoes around the meat, add some pomegranate molasses, cover with parchment paper and foil.
9. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
