Ingredients:

  • A sheet of phyllo dough.
  • A little melted butter.
  • Crushed pistachios.

    For the syrup:
  • 1 cup sugar.
  • 1 cup water.
  • Half a lemon.

Instructions:

1. Take a sheet of phyllo dough, brush it with melted butter, and sprinkle crushed pistachios on it. Roll it up, then shape it like a spiral. Repeat with the remaining sheets.


2. Place the rolled phyllo dough in a baking dish, brush the tops with melted butter, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes.


3. To make the syrup, combine sugar and water in a pot, stir, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add half a lemon and let it simmer until thickened.


4. Allow the syrup to cool, then pour it over the baked baklava and let it sit for about an hour. Enjoy!
